The Olsten Site • The Olsten site is the original part to the farm. • The site has 5 earth pond and 2 sets of concrete channels. • Three types of fish are reared here brown trout, brook trout and the more common rainbow trout. The Coarse pond and river • The Coarse pond contains a variety of fish including mirror carp, crucian carp and ghost carp as well as roach, rudd and tench. • The river is stocked with rainbow trout and brown trout of various sizes. The river is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is a good challenge to all trout fishermen. • The pond and river is sadly no longer available on a day ticket but advance booking may be taken at the owners discretion. Transport • Olsten Trout offers transportation of live fish. Transport consists of two pick-ups and trailers. • Both rigs have air and oxygen systems to keep the fish healthy during transit. • The fish are transported in fibreglass tanks with the facility to 'shoot' them off minimising handling.
